Long time ago our ancestors and many of the early people on earth already use sound healing in many cases in their daily life. In every aspect of life, from the birth of a child to cremation ceremonies are using sound, even until today in certain parts.

The sound has become the bridge between the physical realm to the other realms to be connected, as if we are all fixing a missing part and become whole.

Sound is a vibration, and all of the cells that create our life communicate through vibration. Thus when a strong kind of vibration appears, cells become more activated and shaped itself into a formation. This formation is the message itself, the insight that we gain from learning about our own life. The motivation and the fire that keeps us move.

Dynamic rhythms of sound can create pulse of life energy. A sacred power that wisdom can understand the meaning of life. The secret of life itself. To allow this rhythms of sound to purify the mind and soul, we must accept their invitation.

To be heard, a sound must be accepted. A sound must be accepted freely without judgment. When the sound is accepted without judgment, that is when sound become the medicine.

  • The way of healing a human body is fascinating topic to speak about. As the cells that create all part of our body understand many languages. Language of the mother nature. Our body consist of the five elements that create all things in the universe. Therefore the body can relate to many things in this life. This allow the mind to explore. However, the exploration of the mind can become more clear, if the body is in peace.

    The clarity in mind create sense of safety. Other than that, the mind is clouded with wrong perspective of understanding. This wrong perspective create many challenges and disturbance. In this level, the illness lies on the mental state. The sickness in mental state in the long term will create chronic sickness in physical state.

    Healing with sound is one of the most powerful way of life. Our hearing relates directly to the source of the highest life force. Thus, hearing is very closely in-relation with the throat chakra. As whenever we make sound, our hearing consciousness is awaken. But, it is up to us whether we listen to it or not.

    Even before the sound of voice is created, the hearing consciousness is already very busy bringing the attention to listen to the crowd thinking mind. When someone has a lot of thought in their mind, that is when the thinking mind is crowded. Therefore, silent meditation will be the opening practice in this retreat. In this session, participants learn to listen to their mind and mindful of their action.

    As long as action create reality. One must have known their action, even before the make their action. This will become an important part of the practice. After several days of this practice, then the practice continue to sound meditation.

    On sound meditation session, participants are allowed to create their dynamic sound. This is the act of learning the language of sound. Therefore, the retreat is recommended for anyone who wants to heal or who wants to deepen their relation with sound

  • PROPS TO SUPPORT THE PARTICIPANTS:

    Must have:

    1. Yoga Mat, 1 for each person
    2. Pillow, 1 for each person
    3. Blanket, 1 for each person (Can also be replaced with sarong.)
    4. Yoga block (soft), 1 for each person
    5. A thin layer of bed above yoga mat, 1 for each person
    6. Bolster, 1 for each person
    SPACE AND RETREAT LOCATION
    • Preferable a space complete with outdoor meditation and indoor meditation space. The outdoor meditation can be garden or open air shala. The width of the space depend on how many participants will join.
    • Retreat location must be away from industrial sound such as road or factory. Preferable close to nature such jungle, river, lake or mountain.
    • Space and location must have enough lighting, not too dark during night.
    • A cleansing ceremony will be conducted on the meditation space before the retreat is started.
    • Via and team will make an inspection at the space and location before signing up the retreat agreement.

    ANY OTHER TERM WILL BE DISCUSS WHEN MEETING

  • PARTICIPANT’S DO:
    • Wear appropriate clothes and suggested not tight.
    • The sessions in this retreat will require openness, you can tell everything especially if you don’t have specific relation to any other participants. So, please be honest. Not to me, but to yourself.
    • Give full attention of all instruction given by teachers. Any question can be delivered on interview session.
    • When the retreat is started, all gadget will be handed to organizer and will be put at the safety box until the retreat is finished.
    • Always take care of yourself.
    • Listening is a big learning in this retreat, so please listen and be mindful.
    PARTICIPANT’S DON’T
    • Ignorance is one of the hindrance in meditation. Please do not ignore, be attentive every single moment in this retreat experience.
    • Respect is our strongest chain in this blood. Please do not step over someone else respect line. When someone talk, other must listen.

    Participants are not allowed to entertain themselves during retreat. Listening to music, writing or reading are forbidden. This is a meditation retreat, so even on the spare time we will meditate.

    In general this 7 days retreat will be divided into 4 days of silent retreat and 3 days on sound meditation. On silent retreat, the participants will practice the oldest technique of meditation practice that becoming the basic technique in all meditation. The meditation is called as vipassana.

    Vipassana meditation the practice aims to develop the awareness of the conscious mind. In this term, we learn to recognize the sound of thought. The vipassana practice that we will teach in this retreat comes from the Buddhist Theravada practice. The retreat will be done in silent full 4-days.

    During the silent meditation days, participant will get two times interview with teachers. Each session will only last for 5 minutes. Participants and teachers may ask question (speak) only on this session. Dhamma talk will also be conducted during this days, where we will invite a high-teacher to give explanation about spirituality. Normally, I invite a high-priest in Bali who I have studied and practiced with. This spirituality talk may help participants to understand themselves even deeper.

    The last 3 days will be opened by a gentle sound healing session and expression program, and continue with introduction of sound language through instruments. On this days, there will be many conceptual and technical practice in the mind and action. This 3 days is going to be the best days of senses-communication, where all sound will be loved and accepted. In spare time, participants are able to practice their sound meditation individually or in group.

    During sound meditation days, there will be group refuge sessions. Group refuge is when all participants share their life stories to other participants within personal life topics. Participants will not being asked to do things they do not want, they are allowed to express whatever they want to express, and others must respect.

    Retreat will end with a solid acknowledgment and appreciation for us to create a stronger bond to all.

  • There is always a shifting after retreat during one’s life. There is new perspective and wisdom arises through all senses. This can create some effect in our real life. Back home, our life is so different from the retreat days. We must somehow survive in this reality. So, please take it easy.

    When your instinct tells you to take rest, please take a rest. Otherwise, please enjoy each moments in life. Gratefulness is the strongest shield towards judgment. Do not judge yourself for everything “you think you are”, thus we will not judge others. Allow all desire to lead you to you peaceful path of life.
